The clinic cares for pregnant women on the Acadian Peninsula up to 32 weeks of pregnancy. They are then referred to the Bathurst team.
After delivery, the clinic provides follow-up, education, and care for newborns and mothers who are being discharged from hospital earlier and earlier. Breastfeeding is encouraged.
The team is made up of two doctors, two nurses, a dietitian, a social worker, and two breastfeeding consultants.
