Infection Prevention: Important Reminder for Visitors
Vitalité Health Network, Wednesday, September 25, 2024 – Vitalité Health Network wishes to remind all visitors to its hospital facilities of the importance of protecting the health of our patients, our staff, and the community.
If you are experiencing symptoms of flu or any other respiratory infection (such as fever, cough, sore throat, or congestion), we ask that you postpone your visit. By doing so, you help limit the spread of infections and protect hospitalized individuals whose immune systems may be weakened.
We understand that being away from your hospitalized loved ones can be difficult. We encourage you to consider alternative means of communication, such as phone calls or video messages, to stay in touch with them.
We also remind you to continue practicing other essential preventive measures, such as frequent hand washing and mask-wearing, which remain important in limiting the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory infections.
Your cooperation is essential in maintaining a healthy environment and protecting everyone's health. We invite you to consult our dedicated page on temporary visitor restrictions to see which units currently have limited access due to outbreaks.
Vitalité Health Network continues to monitor the situation and will adjust health measures as needed based on respiratory virus activity.
