Expanding health care training capacity in Dieppe
The Government of New Brunswick, New Brunswick Community College (CCNB), and Vitalité Health Network have reached an agreement to expand training capacity in health care at the Dieppe campus.
The project includes, among other things, the addition of six modular classrooms and the development of six specialized health science laboratories.
This expansion will enable the CCNB to add new programs in fields with significant labour needs. The Pharmacy Technician and Primary Paramedical Care programs are scheduled to welcome their first cohorts in the fall of 2027. Other health-related programs will also enhance the campus's offerings.
In total, the project is expected to train more than 330 additional graduates over the next five years in disciplines that are critical to the health care system.
For the Network, this initiative represents a direct investment in the next generation. Nearly half of the positions or fields of practice across the Network correspond to programs offered by CCNB.
