Roots and Wings: bringing generations together

The Roots and Wings intergenerational project marked the completion of its 2025 and 2026 groups at an event held on May 19 at Moncton's École Champlain.

Led by Vitalité Health Network Public Health, this project gave youth and seniors opportunities to meet in schools and nursing homes in Moncton, Riverview and Petitcodiac. Four classes participated in the 2025 and 2026 program, in collaboration with teachers, seniors, Veterans Health Centre staff and community partners.

The closing ceremony took place in a festive atmosphere, featuring performances by the École Champlain choir and wind band. It highlighted the depth and importance of interactions across generations.
