Vitalité Health Network, proud partner of community engagement forums
The Community Engagement team continued its efforts to bring Vitalité Health Network closer to its communities. Two key events took place.
The forum "De l'ombre à la lumière: construisons une Péninsule acadienne inclusive” (Stepping into the light: building an inclusive Acadian Peninsula), held from February 25 to 27, 2026 in Shippagan, brought together over 100 groups. This forum, the result of cross-sector collaboration between Vitalité Health Network, the New Brunswick Economic and Social Inclusion Corporation and the Acadian Peninsula Regional Service Commission, fostered dialogue and strengthened partnerships on issues such as poverty, mental health, homelessness, substance use, and welcoming newcomers.
The "Tremplin communautaire Nord-Ouest” (Northwest Community Forum), held on March 18 and 19, 2026 in Vallée des Rivières, attracted close to 100 participants. The event was a success thanks to the collaboration of Vitalité Health Network, the Northwest Regional Service Commission, the City of Edmundston, the Northwest Resource Centre for Newcomers, Public Health/Resilience, and the municipality of Vallée des Rivières. It provided an ideal opportunity to share practices, strengthen collaboration and better equip partners.
These forums are part of the Network's desire to build closer ties with communities. Other meetings will be held in the spring in Moncton and the Kent region.
