Working with First Nations: forming local committees

Vitalité Health Network also continued its collaborations with First Nations communities.

The coordinators of the community-based learning approach took part in a training session entitled “Let’s Grow Together,” offered by Noël Milliea in the community of Neqotkuk (Tobique).

This training, which aimed to raise the team's awareness of First Nations culture, was followed by the start of a round of meetings in each of the communities to set up local committees. These committees will help us build an ongoing relationship, maintain proactive dialogue, better understand needs and ensure that services complement each other to respond appropriately.
