A volunteer dedicated to bringing comfort to our tiniest treasures
As part of the Make an Impact in Your Community program (Place aux compétences), and with the help of a micro-grant for the project, volunteer Jaymie Bossé carried out a project she named "Bébé au chaud" [bundles of warmth] at the Edmundston Regional Hospital. This project aims to offer a variety of knitted gifts for newborns, bringing warmth, softness and comfort to newborns and their families, supported by a team of long-standing volunteer knitters.
At Christmas, Jaymie also joined a group of volunteers to prepare and deliver small gifts to be added to patients' trays, helping to create a moment of comfort and kindness during the holiday season.
Through her commitment, she fully embodies the values of solidarity, compassion and generosity that drive volunteering within Vitalité Health Network.
Make an Impact in Your Community is a program funded in part by Canada Service Corps, a national movement that empowers youth aged 15 to 30 to gain experience and build important skills while giving back to their community.
