$99,891 for health care at the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital in Caraquet

Caraquet, Wednesday, February 21, 2024 – The Fondation Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus, in Caraquet, is thrilled to announce the tremendous success of its 2023 annual campaign.

This initiative aimed to raise $80,000 to purchase essential medical equipment. The goal was well surpassed. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the community, the campaign ended with an impressive $99,891.

“This exceptional result guarantees that the Enfant Jésus RHSJ† Hospital will be equipped with the medical equipment needed to provide exceptional care to our patients. Together, we have given concrete expression to our commitment to the health and well-being of our community. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to every donor, volunteer and partner who has made this possible. Your unwavering support makes a real difference to patients’ lives,” said Joseph Lanteigne, Campaign Chair.

This tremendous financial support means that a range of state-of-the-art medical equipment can be purchased for the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital, which will help improve patient care. The equipment to be purchased includes the following:

  • A bladder ultrasound device;
  • A spirometer for respiratory therapy;
  • A phlebotomy chair for oncology;
  • A battery of tests to assess children on the autism spectrum;
  • A urinalysis device for the laboratory;
  • Other essential equipment.

In addition, the Foundation is reaffirming its commitment to the community by actively participating in the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation’s annual campaign.
