COVID-19: Outbreaks at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre and Edmundston Regional Hospital declared over

Bathurst, Wednesday, March 2, 2022 – Vitalité Health Network announces that the outbreaks at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre and Edmundston Regional Hospital are now over. These two hospitals had been declared in outbreak mode due to the large number of nursing units affected by COVID 19.

General visits remain suspended, but eligible patients may once again have a designated support person (DSP) visit them. Instructions for visitors and DSPs are posted on the Network’s website.

The wearing of medical masks remains compulsory within the Network (except for children under two years of age). This directive is designed to keep everyone safe and reduce to a minimum the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
