The speech-language pathology team provides assessment, consultation, intervention and education services.
They treat patients with the following problems:
- Language delays;
- Voice disorders;
- Speech disorders;
- Stuttering;
- Cognitive disorders;
- Difficulty swallowing.
Speech-language pathologists provide services for inpatients as well as for children and adults seen in the outpatient clinics.
To receive speech-language pathology services:
- A person may be referred by a physician or other health professional;
- A parent or patient may also call 506-726-2175 to request services.
