New facility for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Clinic in Saint-Quentin
Saint-Quentin, Thursday, June 27, 2019 – The Cardiac Rehabilitation Clinic at the Hôtel-Dieu Saint-Joseph de Saint-Quentin has undergone a makeover thanks to recent renovations carried out between January and May, 2019.
“An examination room was added and the exercise space is now larger and more functional for the approximately 60 patients from the Restigouche West region who use the clinic’s services every year,” explained Lison Valcourt Thériault, the nurse at the clinic. “I am very pleased with the new facility, which will be of enormous benefit to the patients as well as to our current care team,” she explained, adding that the project had cost approximately $65,000.
The care team at the Cardiac Rehabilitation Clinic in Saint-Quentin currently consists of a full-time nurse and a kinesiologist. The clinic offers numerous services (e.g. a 12-week exercise program, group information sessions, preparation for appointments at the Quebec Heart and Lung Institute and education for patients and their families).
The Network is pursuing its efforts to improve care in the region.
