The Emergency Department has two rapid assessment chairs and 16 stretchers:
- nine stretchers for assessment and treatment;
- two stretchers in the resuscitation room;
- five stretchers for observation.
The Emergency Department serves the population of the Madawaska, south Témiscouata, and State of Maine border regions, along with unstable patients transferred from the emergency departments of the Grand Falls and Saint-Quentin hospitals.
