Temporary closure of Emergency Department at Tracadie Hospital

Vitalité Health Network, Tuesday, June 4, 2024 – Vitalité Health Network advises residents of the Acadian Peninsula that the Emergency Department at the Tracadie Hospital will be closed to the public from Saturday, June 8, at 11:59 p.m. until Sunday, June 9, at noon.

This temporary closure is necessary to allow for repairs to the facility's electrical system.

During this period, anyone who needs emergency medical care should call 911 or go to the Emergency Department at the Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† Hospital in Caraquet or at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst.

All ambulances will be redirected to other hospitals in the region.

The Network thanks the public for their understanding and kind cooperation.
