Recruiting in a competitive market
Over the past two years, the Network's national and international recruitment efforts have produced tangible results. Since January 2024, more than 220 nurses recruited internationally have joined our teams.
While waiting to meet regulatory requirements and obtain their registration in New Brunswick, these nurses begin their Network career as patient care attendants, ensuring continuity of services.
Local recruitment remains a priority: the Network partners with nursing education institutions in New Brunswick to enable students to join nursing teams from the start of their academic careers, ensuring a smooth transition to practice.
In addition to targeted efforts for nursing staff, the Network is implementing several strategies to strengthen the attraction and retention of talent across all health professions:
