A Network physician shines on the national stage
Bathurst, Thursday, November 22, 2018 – Dr. Natalie Cauchon, family physician in Bathurst for Vitalité Health Network, has been named a recipient of the Reg L. Perkin Award, a major honour bestowed by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) to highlight the exceptional work performed by the best family physicians across the country.
This recognition award says a great deal about the quality of Dr. Natalie Cauchon’s work with her patients and her commitment to the community.
Every year, ten winners – one per province – are selected by their peers, colleagues and the provincial sections of the CFPC for their leadership, their contributions to patient care, and their commitment to family medicine teaching and research. “This recognition award says a great deal about the quality of Dr. Natalie Cauchon’s work with her patients and her commitment to the community. On my own behalf and that of the Network, I proudly congratulate her for this wonderful accomplishment,” stated the President and CEO of Vitalité Health Network, Gilles Lanteigne.
In addition to her family medicine private practice, Dr. Cauchon works at the Obstetrical Clinic of Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst. She has a special interest in geriatrics and has a subspecialty in sclerotherapy.
The CFPC has been recognizing exceptional family physicians with the Reg L. Perkin Award since 1972. The 2018 Family Physicians of the Year have received their Reg L. Perkin Award at the Annual Awards Gala that took place in Toronto on November 16, 2018.
