Vitalité Health Network asks the public to reduce traffic at the Edmundston Regional Hospital
Vitalité Health Network, Wednesday, January 3, 2024 – Vitalité Health Network is asking Madawaska residents to limit their visits to the Edmundston Regional Hospital.
This temporary measure is due to a high volume of patients at the Emergency Department and high bed occupancy rate in the facility.
The Emergency Department remains open for people requiring urgent and critical care.
People visiting the Emergency Department for non-urgent reasons will need to be patient, and expect longer waiting times than usual.
The Network encourages people to make appointments with their family doctor or nurse practitioner if possible, to consult their community pharmacist, or to call Telecare (811) or eVisitNB.
The Network thanks the public for its valuable cooperation.
