Vitalité Health Network asks the public to reduce traffic at the Emergency Department of the Edmundston Regional Hospital until Friday
Vitalité Health Network, Thursday, March 9, 2023 – Vitalité Health Network is asking the public in the Northwest to limit visits–except in urgent cases–to the Emergency Department of the Edmundston Regional Hospital. This temporary measure is due to a high bed occupancy rate in the facility.
Effective:
Thursday, March 9, to Friday, March 10, 2023, inclusive.
The facility’s Emergency Department remains open for people who need urgent and critical care. However, the Network is asking people whose health situation is not critical to see their family doctor or nurse practitioner, consult their community pharmacist or to contact Tele-Care (811) or eVisitNB.
Longer wait times
People who come to the Emergency for non-urgent reasons should be patient and expect much longer than usual wait times.
The Network thanks the public for their valuable cooperation.
