Temporary reduction of the walk‑in blood collection service and the emergency department at the Enfant‑Jésus RHSJ† Hospital

Vitalité Health Network informs the population of Caraquet and the surrounding areas that the Blood Collection Service (where blood tests are conducted) at the Enfant‑Jésus RHSJ† Hospital will be by appointment only on Monday, March 24, 2024.

Patients requiring non-urgent care may face longer waiting times. This temporary reduction in both services is due to circumstances beyond the Network’s control.

If you're unsure whether your condition requires a visit to the ER, you can call the Tele-Care health line at 811.

People looking for an alternative to a visit to the ER can:

• - make an appointment with their family doctor or nurse practitioner;
• - consult their community pharmacist;
• - go to a walk-in clinic;
• or contact Tele-Care (811).

The main entrance will not be accessible on Monday, March 24. Please use the 'boutique' entrance located to the left of the establishment.
