Research and health evaluation at Vitalité Health Network
Every year, Vitalité Health Network (the Network) conducts hundreds of research and evaluation activities with the aim of enhancing health knowledge, improving patient care, encouraging innovation and ensuring the continuous improvement of health practices. The research initiatives carried out at the Network cover a wide range of fields – from basic research to applied and organizational studies.
The Research and Health Evaluation Unit (RHEU) supports the Network’s clinicians, researchers and professionals in the development and implementation of various types of research initiatives, for example:
- Research projects (support in project design and protocol drafting)
- Evaluation projects
- Review of best practices or literature
- Knowledge translation and transfer activities
- Methodological support (advice on methodologies and study design)
- Statistical analyses
- Data collection
- Funding requests
- Supervision of research trainees
The RHEU also supports external researchers who want to carry out a research project in one of Vitalité Health Network's facilities by performing an administrative feasibility assessment – a necessary step before submission to the Network's Research Ethics Board (REB).
