A Clinic for Young Children Opens in Dieppe
Dieppe, Thursday, January 15, 2026 – Vitalité Health Network announces the opening of a clinic dedicated to children aged 0 to 5 who do not have a primary care provider in the Beauséjour area, effective January 19. The clinic will serve nearly 2,000 children from the region.
The new point of service is located at 667 Champlain Street in Dieppe. A team made up of physicians and nurses will provide regular medical follow-up for toddlers while they await attachment to a primary care provider.
At each visit, the team assesses the child’s growth, motor, cognitive and social development, as well as eating habits, sleep and hygiene. Immunization records are updated, and guidance on safety, prevention and parenting is provided to parents.
The clinic treats common health issues such as fever, cough, ear infections, respiratory infections, skin rashes, digestive disorders and conjunctivitis. Children may also be followed for chronic conditions such as asthma, eczema or allergies, as well as for behavioural or developmental assessments.
Access to the clinic is by referral only. Eligible families will be directed to this service by the Network’s care teams and its partners. All newborns without a primary care provider who are born in Moncton hospitals will also be referred to the clinic.
The service, previously provided by NB Health Link, is now under the responsibility of the Network. Affected families have been informed of this change.
“This clinic is part of a close collaboration between NB Health Link, Vitalité Health Network and Public Health to ensure uninterrupted continuity of care. Our goal is to attach these children to local family health teams as soon as possible, or at the latest by the end of their follow-up at the clinic,” emphasized Stéphanie Roy, Assistant Vice-President, Health and Community Services.
