Nearly $3.8 million for health care: Vitalité and its foundations are joining forces to achieve even greater impact
Vitalité Health Network, Monday, October 19, 2026 – The 10 foundations that support Vitalité Health Network’s facilities contributed nearly $3.8 million toward improving care and services during the 2025–2026 fiscal year. This contribution is a testament to the generosity of the communities and the essential role that foundations play in the Network’s purpose.
In total, contributions from foundations to the Network amounted to $3,784,725 in 2025–2026, compared with $2,333,525 the previous year, representing an increase of more than 60%.
These funds help meet specific needs in the facilities and communities where Vitalité provides services, particularly through the purchase of equipment, improvements to care environments, and the implementation of projects and initiatives that directly contribute to the patient experience and the work of our teams.
"This remarkable contribution represents much more than just a sum of money. Behind every dollar raised are donors, volunteers, partners, and people who are deeply committed to their communities and their health care services. We are extremely grateful to them," said Dr. France Desrosiers, President and CEO of Vitalité Health Network.
As health care needs continue to evolve rapidly, Vitalité Health Network is seeking to work even more closely with its 10 foundations to strengthen their philanthropic partnership and maximize their collective impact on patients. In fact, this was discussed during a meeting between the foundations and the Network’s Leadership Team held on October 16, 2026, in Bathurst.
This vision is built on better coordinated planning of needs and priorities, closer collaboration in the early stages of projects, and the identification of transformative initiatives that can bring about significant change across the Network.
For Vitalité, strengthening philanthropy can become a true driver of innovation and transformation. Beyond one-time funding for equipment or initiatives that address specific needs, the Network hopes to work with foundations to explore ways to accelerate the implementation of promising projects and measure their impact on patients.
The proposed vision follows a simple continuum: identifying clinical needs, establishing shared priorities, developing transformative projects, engaging communities and philanthropic partners, measuring outcomes, and ultimately, maximizing the impact on patients.
Vitalité Health Network extends its heartfelt thanks to the boards of directors and staff of its 10 foundations, as well as to the thousands of donors, volunteers, and partners who contribute to their success.
