Visitor restrictions in the Nephrology Department (George L. Dumont University Health Centre)

April 11, 2026 - Vitalité Health Network wishes to inform the residents of Moncton, Dieppe, and the surrounding areas that an outbreak of vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE) has been reported in the 4-F Nephrology Unit at the George L. Dumont University Health Centre. -L.-Dumont.

Visits will be suspended to prevent the spread of the VRE—except for designated support persons—until further notice. These restrictions will take effect this Saturday, April 11, 2026.

We invite support persons with questions to contact the department by calling 506-862-4000.

These temporary measures are in place to ensure the health and safety of our patients, healthcare workers, and the community.
