The Diabetes Clinics improve patients’ knowledge of diabetes and encourage self-management.
The clinics adjust patients’ insulin. The adjustments are done by a certified diabetes educators – health professionals specialized in diabetes education. These educators have in-depth knowledge of diabetes care and know how to manage diabetes.

The clinics also offer:
- Follow-up for patients on insulin pump treatment;
- Follow-up for pregnant women with gestational diabetes;
- Continuous patient assessment.
The clinics offer diabetes education:
- Free of charge;
- Individually or in groups.
Patients learn how to:
- Develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle;
- Develop a healthy diet;
- Understand their illness and control their blood sugar effectively;
- Learn to self-manage their treatment;
- Become more independent;
- Take charge of and control their diabetes.
Follow-ups take place to achieve set objectives.
