End of Pro-Tech Services at Chaleur Regional Hospital

Bathurst, Monday, October 5, 2026 – The management of Chaleur Regional Hospital is informing the public, patients, visitors and staff that the security services provided by Pro-Tech at the main entrance and Emergency Department entrance will end on October 30, 2026.

This decision follows the opening of the new main entrance to Chaleur Regional Hospital on September 22, 2026. The new configuration now allows patients and visitors to be dropped off directly near the main doors, making access to the facility easier.

Pro-Tech’s services were initially retained during the COVID-19 pandemic to strengthen security measures. Its mandate was subsequently extended to help direct patients and visitors and facilitate access to the facility during the expansion work.

With the work now completed and the new main entrance in operation, Pro-Tech services will no longer be required as of October 30.

The management of Chaleur Regional Hospital sincerely thanks the Pro-Tech agents for their professionalism, kindness and support provided to patients, visitors and staff over the past several years.
