Testimonial: Dieppe Geriatric Health Clinic
The opening of the first Geriatric Health Clinic in Dieppe was celebrated last March. The facility offers comprehensive assessment and rehabilitation services for individuals aged 65 and over to enhance their autonomy and quality of life at home.
France LeBreton, Senior Director of Seniors' Health Programs, described the multidisciplinary services provided by her team and the Network's intention to implement this model across its four zones.
Gisèle Savoie, a client benefiting from the clinic’s services, emphasized the importance of receiving care outside the hospital environment, expressing that she felt supported and better equipped to manage age-related changes.
Presentation by Beauséjour Zone foundations
Foundations from the two hospitals in the Beauséjour Zone presented their recent contributions to improving patient experience and care:
Adélard Savoie, Chair of Les Ami.e.s de l’Hôpital Stella-Maris-de-Kent Foundation, described how donor contributions facilitated the opening of a cardiology clinic. Thanks to community generosity, the foundation raised $200,000 in just two months, significantly reducing patient trips previously necessary to Moncton.
Gilles Allain, President and CEO of the CHU Dumont Foundation, reiterated the organization’s commitment to oncology care, which has raised nearly $35 million since 1987. Mr. Allain also shared the foundation’s vision for enhanced support in maternal-child health, whether by funding equipment purchases or initiatives supporting adolescent mental health, child psychiatry, pediatrics, or obstetrics.
The Network’s Board of Directors meets at least four times a year, and meetings are open to the public. The next regular public meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., at 157 Water Street, Campbellton.
