Six research projects receive $150,000 in funding: Vitalité Health Network congratulates the participating physicians and researchers

Vitalité Health Network wishes to congratulate its physicians and researchers as well as their colleagues at the Université de Moncton having been awarded grants to conduct six separate research projects.
The six projects in question received $25,000 grants through the Programme de financement de recherche en santé DUO. Each funding application was evaluated by a committee of three independent evaluators via a process similar to that employed by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. The funding for the projects originates from the research development program of the Centre de formation médicale du Nouveau-Brunswick.
The Network congratulates the following grant recipients for their health research work:
- Nicholas Finn, hematologist and medical oncologist at the Dr. Léon‑Richard Oncology Centre, and Prof. Gilles Robichaud at the Université de Moncton for their project “Identification des récepteurs de cellules leucémiques permettant l’entrée de microparticules et l’induction de l’agressivité cancéreuse”;
