Temporary reduction of emergency department services at Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital

Vitalité Health Network s informing the residents of Kent about a temporary change in the operating hours of the emergency department at Stella‑Maris‑de‑Kent Hospital.

Starting October 14, 2025, patients will be admitted until 5 p.m. and services will resume at 8 a.m. the following day.

In case of a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital:

• Dr. Georges‑L.‑Dumont University Hospital Centre – Moncton
• Miramichi Regional Hospital
• The Moncton Hospital

This temporary measure is due to a shortage of medical staff and is necessary to ensure the quality and safety of the care provided.

If your condition does not require immediate emergency care, several alternatives are available:
