Temporary Slowdown of Emergency Services at the Grand Falls General Hospital

Starting April 15, the emergency department at the Grand Falls General Hospital will experience a slowdown between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. due to a temporary shortage of physicians.
The Emergency Department remains open at all times, with 24/7 medical coverage in place.
All patients presenting to the Emergency Department will be assessed by a triage nurse. Patients requiring immediate medical attention will receive prompt care. Patients with less urgent conditions may experience longer wait times during the night.
Do not attempt to assess the severity of your symptoms on your own.
If you have any doubts about your health condition, it is preferable to visit the emergency department for an evaluation by a health professional. If you are unsure whether your condition requires a visit to the emergency department, you may also contact Tele-Care by dialing 811.
Vitalité Health Network thanks the public for their understanding and cooperation.
