Vitalité–CCNB Partnership: New Scholarships to Become a Medical Radiation Technologist
Wednesday, January 7, 2026 – Vitalité Health Network and the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) are joining forces to support the hospital workforce in the field of medical radiation by launching a joint initiative focused on student recruitment, training, and professional integration.
This partnership is aimed at the 2026–2029 cohort of the NBCC Medical Radiation Technology program. It includes a coordinated recruitment process and clinical placement integration within Vitalité Health Network facilities.
The seven selected students will receive financial support including:
- An annual scholarship of $10,000, paid over three years;
- Reimbursement of annual tuition fees.
In return, recipients commit to working for four years at a Network facility upon graduation, helping to improve access to medical imaging services in communities across New Brunswick.
Interested candidates must first apply to CCNB's Medical Radiation Technology program. Those who meet the eligibility criteria will then have their application forwarded to Vitalité Health Network, with their consent.
"By working hand in hand with CCNB, we're creating a clear and attractive pathway for students who want to contribute to our mission," says Josée Gagnon, Vice-President of Transversal Services at Vitalité Health Network.
"This is an excellent example of a partnership that addresses workforce needs in the health sector," says Julie Cyr, Dean of the School of Health Sciences. "Nearly half of Vitalité's employees are CCNB alumni, proof that we are ideally positioned to continue training tomorrow's health professionals."
Vitalité Health Network wishes to remind candidates that this initiative complements existing incentive programs. "We continue to offer our recruitment bonuses for other candidates who have not signed an agreement during their studies," adds Ms. Gagnon. "We want all medical radiation technologists to know they have a place with us."
