Emergency Department at Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital Returns to Full 24/7 Service

The Emergency Department at Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital is now open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Starting the week of May 5, the department will once again be accessible overnight on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

Between 11:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., the department will operate with a reduced team, which may result in longer wait times for patients with less urgent conditions.

Patients requiring immediate medical attention will be prioritized and will receive prompt care.

The service remains open at all times, and medical coverage is provided 24 hours a day.

All patients presenting to the Emergency Department will be assessed by a triage nurse.

Do not attempt to assess the severity of your symptoms on your own. If you have any doubts about your health condition, it is preferable to visit the emergency department for an evaluation by a health professional.
