The strength of our collective action

Following the launch of our latest quarterly online report, you shared positive feedback on its new interactive and accessible format. We are proud to build on this momentum with the release of this new report, reaffirming our commitment to modernizing our practices while promoting transparency.

Our patients remain at the heart of our priorities, supported by tangible initiatives tailored to the specific needs of each community.

Our community forums, including those held this quarter in the Acadian Peninsula and Vallée des Rivières, are strong examples of this, supported by our commitment to leadership within the Network. In fact, more than 200 directors and managers have been trained in change management to better support their teams and navigate today's challenges.

The Network remained focused on improving access to primary health care

At present, 32 local family health teams are active in the communities we serve. Of these, 24 already provide rapid access, within 48 hours, for minor emergencies. This model is based on collaboration between different health care professionals to provide the population with accessible, coordinated care tailored to their needs.

New online service for scheduling X-ray appointments

Patients in the Northwest Zone can now easily book their own general radiography (X‑ray) appointments using an online platform accessible by computer, tablet or cellphone.

A digital tool to support families during pregnancy and after birth

Vitalité Health Network now offers pregnant women access to the SeamlessMD platform, which supports them throughout pregnancy and after childbirth.

A clinic for young children opens in Dieppe

The Network has opened a clinic in Dieppe in the Beauséjour Zone for nearly 2,000 children aged 0 to 5 who do not have a primary health care provider.

However, a new chapter is beginning for him: he has just received a kidney from his brother.

The Nursing Centre of Excellence, a first in Canada

Vitalité Health Network becomes the first acute care facility in Canada to take part in the Canadian Nurses Association's (CNA) Stellar Program, which recognizes excellence in nursing workplaces.

Supporting our managers in their leadership: teams get involved

Supporting our managers in their leadership is one of the Network's three strategic priorities. Over the past few months, the Engagement and Organizational Development team has finalized the development of a diagnostic leadership tool for managers.

A record-setting quarter for medical recruitment

The first quarter of 2026 ended on an exceptional note for medical recruitment: 17 doctors joined the Network between January and March, with one single departure recorded during this period.

In addition to these targeted efforts, the Network is implementing various strategies to strengthen talent attraction and retention for all health care professions.

CCNB's Transition and Readmission in Nursing Program (TRSI) supports the integration of internationally trained nurses into Canada.

Vitalité–DataNB partnership – Improving care through data

Vitalité Health Network and DataNB have signed a five-year memorandum of understanding to build stronger collaboration in health data research.

Community health needs assessment—findings presented in Dieppe

After the Dieppe/Memramcook Community health needs assessment report was submitted in Memramcook, the City of Dieppe examined the identified priorities at a City Council Standing Committee meeting on March 16, 2026.
